CES 2025 delivered a seismic shift in mobile gaming with the unveiling of the AI-powered "Co-Playable Character" (CPC) by Krafton, debuting in PUBG and inZOI. This isn't your average NPC; it's a Non-Playable Character infused with generative AI, promising a revolutionary gaming experience.

inZOI's implementation, dubbed "Smart Zoi," will introduce characters with unique personalities and emotional depth, creating more realistic and engaging interactions within the simulation.

PUBG's "PUBG Ally" will dynamically adapt its strategies to complement player actions, enhancing gameplay dynamics. Whether this is thrilling or unsettling is entirely subjective.

ytDeveloped in collaboration with NVIDIA ACE, CPCs enable real-time conversations and adaptive scenarios. “Our collaboration with NVIDIA is a testament to the transformative potential of AI in gaming, and we plan to work closely together to push the boundaries of what is possible," notes Kangwook Lee, Head of Krafton's Deep Learning Division.
